A powerful storm will bring heavy snow and blowing snow and heavy freezing rain from the Great Lakes to the Northeast; and strong winds from the Plains to the Mid-Atlantic. In the West, heavy rain with heavy mountain snow can be expected into next week. Super Typhoon Wutip will slowly move northwest away from Guam, but heavy rain, surf, and damaging winds continue across the area.

Synopsis: Moderate southeasterly flow will continue across all the waters tonight, veering south-southwesterly Sunday ahead of a cold front that is forecasted to push through our area late Sunday into Monday. A strong east-northeasterly wind surge behind the front will bring the potential for hazardous boating conditions, especially over the Atlantic, late Monday into Tuesday. Coverage of showers will increase into early next week with the front.
