Dangerous Heat Building in the West; Severe Storms in the Upper Midwest
A long duration heat wave will build across the Southwest, California, and Pacific Northwest. Dangerous heat is also forecast for the Great Basin and South Plains. Severe storms in the Upper Midwest may have locally heavy rain, damaging winds, and very large hail. Heavy rain and flooding will also be possible in the Deep South and Appalachians.
