Strong Storm System To Impact The West
A large, strong and moist Pacific storm system will impact a good portion of the West on Friday through the upcoming weekend. Heavy rain, strong winds, heavy mountain snow and rough surf can be expected. The heavy rain may result in some flash flooding on Friday and Saturday across northern portions of California and southwestern Oregon, especially near recent burn scar areas.

Rest Of Tonight: South winds 10 to 20 knots veering southwest late at night, then veering north 15 to 25 knots toward daybreak. Cloudy with a chance of rain showers and a slight chance of snow showers. Waves 2 to 3 feet building to 4 to 6 feet toward daybreak.
Friday: North winds to 30 knots decreasing to 10 to 20 knots late in the day. Mostly cloudy. Waves 5 to 7 feet.
