Multi-Day and Region Severe Weather Event
A multi-day weather event with severe storms and heavy rainfall will impact several parts of the country. Today, an enhanced risk of severe storms capable of a few strong tornadoes and wind damage are forecast across the central Gulf Coast states. Flash Flooding is also possible from the central Gulf Coast to the Ohio Valley. These threats will press eastward towards the East Coast on Friday.

Tonight: North wind 10 to 15 knots rising to 15 to 20 knots late in the evening, then becoming 15 to 25 knots after midnight becoming north 15 to 25 knots with gusts to around 30 knots early in the morning. Patchy drizzle in the evening. Waves 1 to 2 feet building to 5 to 7 feet.
Friday: North wind 15 to 25 knots veering northeast in the afternoon. Gusts up to 30 knots. Partly sunny in the morning then clearing. Waves 6 to 8 feet.
Friday Night: Northeast wind 15 to 25 knots backing north 15 to 20 knots in the late evening and overnight. Clear. Waves 5 to 7 feet subsiding to 3 to 5 feet early in the morning.
Saturday: North wind 15 to 20 knots easing to 10 to 15 knots early in the afternoon, then becoming north 10 to 15 knots late in the afternoon. Sunny. Waves 3 to 5 feet subsiding to 3 to 4 feet in the late morning and afternoon.
