Powerful Storm To Produce Widespread Hazards This Weekend

A powerful storm will track from the central Plains to the Great Lakes this weekend. This large system will produce several hazards across the Eastern two-thirds of the country; severe storms w/ damaging winds and tornadoes in the TN and Lower MS Valleys, rain and continued flood threat for the OH and TN Valleys and heavy snow w/ blizzard conditions from the central Plains to Upper MS Valley.

Tuesday: Southwest wind 15 to 20 knots with gusts to around 30 knots. Chance of snow showers. Waves 4 to 7 feet.

Tuesday Night: Southwest wind 15 to 25 knots with gusts to around 30 knots. Chance of snow showers. Waves 5 to 8 feet.

Wednesday: West wind 10 to 20 knots with gusts to around 30 knots. Chance of snow showers. Waves 5 to 8 feet. see the open lakes forecast for days 3 through 5. this is the last nearshore forecast issuance of the season. The nearshore forecast will resume around march 18 2019.
