Storm to Depart the Northeast Today; Unfortunate Weekend Rain Arrives for Flood Stricken Midwest

A storm will exit northeast across the Canadian Maritimes today with locally heavy snow and strong winds tapering off across eastern New York and northern New England. A weak storm tracking across the Central U.S. this weekend will combine with Gulf moisture to produce additional rainfall and scattered thunderstorms which may worsen ongoing flooding on the Missouri and Mississippi rivers.
