Powerful Storm To Produce Widespread Hazards This Weekend

A powerful storm will track from the central Plains to the Great Lakes this weekend. This large system will produce several hazards across the Eastern two-thirds of the country; severe storms w/ damaging winds and tornadoes in the TN and Lower MS Valleys, rain and continued flood threat for the OH and TN Valleys and heavy snow w/ blizzard conditions from the central Plains to Upper MS Valley.

Saturday: Southeast winds around 15 knots. Seas 2 to 3 feet. Period 4 seconds. Intracoastal waters a moderate chop. A slight chance of showers.

Saturday Night: South southeast winds 10 to 15 knots. Seas 2 to 3 feet. Period 5 seconds. Intracoastal waters a light chop.

Sunday: South winds 10 to 15 knots. Seas around 2 feet. Period 4 seconds. Intracoastal waters a light chop. A chance of showers .

Sunday Night: Along the coast, southwest winds 5 to 10 knots becoming northwest late in the evening. In the gulf stream, southwest winds around 10 knots becoming west northwest after midnight. Seas around 2 feet. Intracoastal waters a light chop. A chance of showers.

Monday: Northeast winds 15 to 20 knots. Along the coast, seas around 2 feet building to 2 to 4 feet with occasional seas to 5 feet in the afternoon. In the gulf stream, seas 2 to 4 feet with occasional seas to 5 feet building to 4 to 6 feet with occasional seas to 8 feet in the afternoon. Intracoastal waters choppy in exposed areas. A chance of showers.

Monday Night And Tuesday: East winds 15 to 20 knots. Seas 3 to 5 feet with occasional seas to 6 feet along the coast and 5 to 7 feet with occasional to 9 feet in the gulf stream. Intracoastal waters choppy in exposed areas. A chance of showers.

Tuesday Night: East southeast winds 10 to 15 knots along the coast to southeast 15 to 20 knots in the gulf stream. Seas 4 to 6 feet with occasional seas to 8 feet. Intracoastal waters choppy in exposed areas. A chance of showers.

Wednesday: South southeast winds 10 to 15 knots. Seas 2 to 4 feet with occasional seas to 5 feet. Intracoastal waters a light chop. A chance of showers.
