Tracking Two Tropical Disturbances in the Atlantic

A tropical disturbance near the coast of southeastern Florida is located in an environment supporting a high chance of tropical depression formation this weekend. Locally heavy rainfall is possible over southern and central Florida associated with this disturbance. Further east, another tropical disturbance well east of the Windward Islands also has a high chance of formation by early next week.

Synopsis: A broad area of low pressure over southeast Florida will move slowly northwestward through the overnight. The trough is expected to lift northward and away from our region Saturday and Saturday night. Thereafter, a high pressure cell over Cuba will gradually lift northward into the Straits of Florida, then into South Florida.
