A powerful storm will track from the central Plains to the Great Lakes this weekend. This large system will produce several hazards across the Eastern two-thirds of the country; severe storms w/ damaging winds and tornadoes in the TN and Lower MS Valleys, rain and continued flood threat for the OH and TN Valleys and heavy snow w/ blizzard conditions from the central Plains to Upper MS Valley.

Synopsis: Relatively calm conditions are expected through Saturday. A weak front will move into the waters tonight, but winds will remain below small craft. This front is expected to shift north Sunday with increasing south winds that could reach small craft. Then a series of low pressure areas will move along the front and bring much stronger winds and high seas to the area starting Sunday night and continuing through at least Tuesday.
