A powerful storm will track from the central Plains to the Great Lakes this weekend. This large system will produce several hazards across the Eastern two-thirds of the country; severe storms w/ damaging winds and tornadoes in the TN and Lower MS Valleys, rain and continued flood threat for the OH and TN Valleys and heavy snow w/ blizzard conditions from the central Plains to Upper MS Valley.

High pressure will build from the northern Great Plains toward the Great Lakes and eventually into the northeast through the first half of next week. Gale conditions are likely over the waters Sunday into Monday.
