A system will pass through the South and northern Gulf Coast region for some rain and a few thunderstorms, perhaps some light snow on the northern periphery from the Mid Mississippi Valley into the western Ohio Valley. Another system will sweep through the Northwest to the northern Rockies with some shower activity and mountain snow.

Synopsis: The active weather pattern will continue across the coastal waters this week and into the weekend resulting in continued steep seas and periods of gusty south winds. The next front will move through Wednesday. High and very long period west swell will build Wednesday night into Thursday then gradually lower on Friday. Another frontal system may move into the area on Saturday.
