Heavy Rain and Severe Storm Potential in Texas; Heavy Rain in Upper Midwest

A slow moving frontal system will bring a threat of severe storms and heavy rain to portions of Texas the next few days. The main severe storm threat is large hail and damaging winds, but brief tornadoes will also be possible. Another storm system over the Upper Midwest may produce heavy rain and flooding, but on the drier side of the storm, gusty winds will produce critical fire weather threats.
