Snow and Ice Continue in the Northeast; Rain and Mountain Snow in the West

Significant winter impacts shift into the Northeast on Sunday. Heavy snow up to 2 feet will be possible across interior Northeastern areas. Southern New England may see ice accumulations up to a quarter of an inch. Strong gusty winds and bitter cold will follow the cold front passage. In the west, heavy mountain snow will impact the California, Inter-Mountain West, and Rocky mountains.

Tonight: NW winds 30 to 35 kt with gusts up to 45 kt. Seas 6 to 8 ft with a dominant period of 9 seconds. Freezing spray after midnight.

Mon: NW winds 25 to 30 kt with gusts to 35 kt. Seas 6 to 7 ft with a dominant period of 8 seconds. Light freezing spray in the morning.
